Forty-eight volumes of diaries and personal account books. These diaries describe Stillman's appointments, his commute, and his general health. Some detail conversations and meetings regarding his position at the National City Bank of New York while others simply describe the weather and the births and deaths of family and friends in New York. Stillman often describes his sojourns in Europe as well as his domestic travel. Many of the diaries mention his business relationship with the Rockefellers and enumerate a variety of loans, payments, investments and expenditures both personal and corporate.
